Anthony Jackson-Miller, a 39-year-old resident of Stanstead, Quebec, Canada, has been charged with one felony count of sexual exploitation of a victim of an open investigation by a law enforcement officer and one misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice. Jackson-Miller was employed as a victim’s advocate for the Caledonia County State’s Attorney’s Office. The charges are the result of an investigation by the Vermont State Police.
At his arraignment in Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division, Jackson-Miller entered a not guilty plea. Judge Heather Gray set pre-trial conditions requiring that he have no contact with the victim or witnesses and prohibiting him from working in any capacity that provides services to vulnerable individuals.
The Attorney General’s Office stated: “Individuals charged with a crime are legally presumed innocent until their guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
