Maria Trudeau, a 31-year-old resident of South Burlington, Vermont, was arraigned on one count of misdemeanor prohibited conduct. The charge was filed in Addison County and relates to an alleged incident in Salisbury, Vermont. The Vermont State Police conducted the investigation.
The arraignment took place remotely at the Vermont Superior Court, Chittenden Unit, Criminal Division. Judge Robert Katims presided over the hearing. Maria Trudeau pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The court set conditions of release for Ms. Trudeau. She is prohibited from consuming alcohol and from contacting either the victim or any witnesses in the case.
