The United States District Court for the District of Vermont has announced an opening for an Information Technology / Audio Visual (IT/AV) Technician. The new technician will be part of the court’s consolidated IT department and is expected to provide key support for courtroom technology.

According to the announcement, the position involves installing and configuring computer hardware and software, maintaining and troubleshooting audio visual systems, as well as supporting video conferencing and evidence presentation systems. The technician will offer first-level IT support to staff, chambers, and judges.

The court stated that strong customer service skills are necessary for this role. The ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and resolve technical issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also required.
