Victoria Thompson, a 32-year-old resident of White River Junction, Vermont, has been sentenced in Windsor County Superior Court following her guilty plea to a felony charge of selling or dispensing a regulated drug resulting in death, as well as two misdemeanor drug possession charges.
Judge Elizabeth Mann handed down the sentence, which includes one to five years to serve, all suspended except for 135 days. Thompson will also be on probation for six years. The terms of her probation include successful completion of a residential drug recovery program. After this program, she must comply with several conditions: adhering to a curfew, following residential and association restrictions, submitting to random drug testing, undergoing screening and any recommended treatment for substance abuse and risk reduction issues, performing community service, and pursuing either employment or education or training.
“If Ms. Thompson violates her terms of probation, she faces up to five years in prison,” according to the Attorney General’s Office.
